Forex Forecasting Strategies

Forex forecasting can be very complex when using manual technical analysis, but, in our days, FX trading software can do market analysis for you. You can start predicting currency price movements the same day you get a software system.

The common way of doing price forecasting on currency pairs is to use charts. These are graphical representations on price movements. Many traders spend months and years learning how to develop charting skills. It takes extreme dedication. Spending hours every day practicing is required to get it right.

Some FX traders believe that there are repeating patterns in charts they can help you forecast price movements. These patterns are made up of support and resistance points. The idea is that price tends to keep moving when a support or resistance level is broken. The trader then watches for the next level of support or resistance to get out of the trade.

The concept of analyzing historical price movements on charts has been around for years. The idea is knowing how a currency price has moved in the past gives you signs on how it will act in the future.

There is an endless list of charting indicators you can use. There are trend lines, moving averages, MACD, RSI, stochastics, Fibonacci lines, Elliott waves, pivots levels and more. The idea is to use a number of them together to paint of picture of when to take a trade. Some traders will have a dozen or more of these on their charts. Plus, they'll have three or four charts opened at the same time on separate monitors.

The best types of forecasting systems are software systems that do all of the chart analysis for you. They take all of the technical indicators and determine whether or not you should take a trade. This is far better than spending months trying to figure out manual charting to forecast price movements.
